Amanha Estréia no Brasil - Velozes e Furiosos 5
Se a franquia “Velozes e Furiosos” começou, em 2001, com um filme voltado aos apaixonados por velocidade e por carros “tunados”, o cenário agora é outro. O quinto longa da série, que estreia amanhã, segue uma linha de filmes com crimes mirabolantes, no estilo “Onze Homens e Um Segredo” (2001), e usa um lugar exótico como cenário. No caso, as favelas -e um pouco das praias- do Rio, onde uma parte das cenas foi filmada.
Resgatado pelos colegas após ser condenado à prisão, Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel) foge para o Rio acompanhado da irmã, Mia (Jordana Brewster), e do parceiro, Brian (Paul Walker). Lá, os três participam de um golpe organizado por Reyes, o maior criminoso carioca (interpretado pelo português Joaquim de Almeida), porém a ação dá errado. Eles se tornam procurados por matar agentes do FBI (o que não fizeram) e resolvem se vingar de Reyes. Mas o maior problema que terão será enfrentar o agente Hobbs, vivido por Dwayne Johnson (mais conhecido como The Rock), que rouba a cena.
A capital carioca parece estar mesmo em alta no exterior. A animação americana “Rio”, que estreou nos EUA em 18 de abril, faturou US$ 39,2 milhões no primeiro fim de semana e se tornou o filme mais bem-sucedido do ano. Só perdeu o primeiro lugar das bilheterias para “Velozes e Furiosos 5”, que estreou por lá no fim de semana passado e, em apenas três dias, arrecadou US$ 83,6 milhões.
Enquanto a animação, produção internacional dirigida pelo brasileiro Carlos Saldanha, mostra as belezas e também a miséria da Cidade Maravilhosa, “Velozes e Furiosos” explora só a pobreza. A maioria das cenas se passa em favelas, com direito a frases de efeito, como “no Rio não existem policiais honestos”. O longa ainda teve cenas feitas no Caribe e nos Estados Unidos.
“Velozes e Furiosos 5” desanda mesmo no roteiro, um festival de atropelos. Em uma cena, que supostamente se passa no Brasil, um trem atravessa um deserto tipicamente americano, que não lembraria nem o agreste nordestino. Policiais cariocas dirigem carros Dodge Charger de último modelo. O estúdio deveria aproveitar o bom faturamento para, no sexto filme da série, que já foi confirmado, investir um pouco mais na história.

Em “A Garota da Capa Vermelha”, Amanda Seyfried é Valerie, uma bela garota ligada a dois homens. Está apaixonada pelo melancólico forasteiro Peter (SHILOH FERNANDEZ), porém seus pais a prometeram em casamento ao rico Henry (MAX IRONS). Inconformados com a situação, Valerie e Peter planejam fugir, até que tomam conhecimento de que a irmã mais velha de Valerie foi morta pelo lobisomem que vaga pela escura floresta que rodeia o vilarejo onde moram.
Ao longo de anos, as pessoas mantiveram uma difícil trégua com a fera, oferecendo-lhe mensalmente um animal em sacrifício. Mas sob uma lua cor de sangue, o lobisomem desrespeita o acordo, tirando uma vida humana. Sedenta de vingança, a população recorre a um famoso caçador de lobisomens, o padre Solomon (GARY OLDMAN), com a intenção de matar o monstro. Ocorre que a chegada de Solomon provoca conseqüências inesperadas, pois ele alerta que o lobisomem assume forma humana durante o dia, podendo ser qualquer um deles.
O número de mortes cresce a cada lua, e Valerie começa a desconfiar que o lobisomem pode ser alguém que ela ama. O pânico toma conta de todos e ela descobre que tem uma ligação singular com o monstro—que os une inexoravelmente, tornando-a ao mesmo tempo suspeita…e isca.
O filme estreia em 22 abril nos cinemas.
